Each house in astrology is a tool that can explain how we materialize our lives, which can be internal or external. Materialize means something real. Something that can be seen by others.

Each house shows us how we will develop. It tells us who we were as children before conditioning. It also shows us how we handle conditioning and use it to reform ourselves.

When we use astrology as a tool to assess our life, it’s better to check the transits in each house. Transits are the placement of the planets in one’s chart at a specific time frame. Remember houses can be fluid and flow into each other. And some houses can have two signs in it at a time. Check to see where the planets are transiting to get a better idea of how the transits will affect you.

It’s important to note that each house depends on the other house to function and make sense in some way. Its best the read the entire story, but before you can do that you must understand each section. Hence, the houses.

The Sixth House

Responsibilities & Health

The Original House of Virgo.

This house represents the way we provide services to those around us and to ourselves. The sixth house reveals our work ethic, how we approach daily matters, and how we handle our responsibilities. For example, if someone had Pisces in their sixth house, then we can assume that this person may handle their daily matters and responsibilities with their feelings and intuition. This may mean that their days are heavily influenced by their feelings and their inner self.

The sixth house is connected to our health and how we heal and take care of ourselves. Virgo is a sign that has an innate ability to heal someone with insight from their intuition. This is supported by their ability to notice every detail, especially the details that need healing. Hence, why the sixth house is associated with health. In addition, the sixth house indicates the ailments we may acquire at some point in life. For example, with Pisces in the sixth house, we can assume this person may deal with some sort of mental illness at one point in their life. When interpreting the health of someone you want to research which body part is associated with the sign in your sixth house. For instance, Pisces is related to the foot but can also be related to the mind because of the deep influence of the imagination and subconscious mind. Although Pisces in the sixth house may relate to mental illness, someone with Pisces may also acquire ailments connected to the foot at one point in their life.

The sixth house also indicates how we approach healing, so with Pisces in the sixth house one may prefer holistic remedies, prayer, witchcraft, or supernatural ways of healing.

The sixth house is also related to our service to others and how we find ourselves useful to the public. This usually indicates the jobs and services we may find more satisfying and the jobs and services that we are more likely to commit to. Once again with Pisces, a job or service that may be satisfying for a sixth house Piscean may be a yoga teacher, a holistic coach, a counselor, a psychological astrologist, and life coach. Usually jobs and services that deal with spirituality and healing are best suited for Pisces in the sixth house.

Lastly, the sixth house is associated with pets because it is believed that pets are a service to people and have healing properties. Not only are pets a service to us, we are of service to them. So, with Pisces in the sixth house a great pet to adopt may be a cat or a fish because cats are highly intuitive and fish is the symbol of Pisces.
