Each house in astrology is a tool that can explain how we materialize our lives, which can be internal or external. Materialize means something real. Something that can be seen by others.

Each house shows us how we will develop. It tells us who we were as children before conditioning. It also shows us how we handle conditioning and use it to reform ourselves.

When we use astrology as a tool to assess our life, it’s better to check the transits in each house. Transits are the placement of the planets in one’s chart at a specific time frame. Remember houses can be fluid and flow into each other. And some houses can have two signs in it at a time. Check to see where the planets are transiting to get a better idea of how the transits will affect you.

It’s important to note that each house depends on the other house to function and make sense in some way. Its best the read the entire story, but before you can do that you must understand each section. Hence, the houses.

The Seventh House

Relationships

The Original House of Libra.

This house represents partnerships of all sort. The seventh house represents the kind of person you may choose to commit to. It reveals the kind of characteristics you desire from another person. One must analyze the entire house to better understand the traits necessary for a compatible partnership, whether it be business, marital, and/or friendship. It can also represent the zodiac sign of your first serious commitment (this person may have lots of your 7th house zodiacs or planets in their chart).

This house also represents your shadow self; nonetheless, this is why we are attracted to partners with the qualities our seventh house embodies. The seventh house shows us the sides of ourselves that are deeply hidden. We tend to be attracted to partners who reflect our shadow so we can learn to love those qualities about ourselves.

It is important to note that the seventh house must be interpreted with specific planets and specific houses in order to fully identify characteristics that would best suit one in a long-term partnership. However, the seventh is the one of the main houses that should be analyzed. The planets within the seventh house will alter or enhance the attributes of the seventh house.

The seventh house also reveals the attributes of one’s second child.

Lastly, the seventh house tells us a lot about our potential rivals. Ironically, our rivals embody the same attributes as the partners we attract. This may mean we attract our rivals due to some negatively suppressed feeling we have about our shadow self. However, rivals come and go, and we cannot predict who comes into our lives but we can choose who we release. Rivals are meant to challenge our shadows and potentially reveal some of our own hidden traits.

Here’s what the seventh house represents:

· Relationship

The people we relate to…

· Commitments

The people who choose to be with long term…

· Partnerships

The people we choose to support our goals…

· Shadow Self

The hidden attributes of ourselves…

· Rivals

People that challenge us in some way…

Remember, each house will influence your story and give you even greater insight about your life.
